Threefold Blade
Three stances. One blade. Pick the wrong one and you don't get a second swing.
About
Threefold Blade is a single player action RPG about reading a fight and picking the right sword stance for it. You carry one blade and three ways to use it. Stone is the heavy one, grounded and defensive, with a cross slash that hits twice. Wind is fast and surgical, built around a piercing thrust that goes clean through. Flame is aggressive, a four hit combo that ends with a charged strike if you have the patience to wait for it. Stance switching is a real commitment. You can't spam through them. You have to read the enemy, pick your stance, and live with it for a few beats before you can change again. Add a parry and a counter on top of that, and combat starts to feel more like a conversation than a button mash. The art is minimalist pixel work in a muted, semi-monochrome palette, the kind of look that puts every silhouette and every sword arc front and center.
